2020 Foxquilt Community Cup

Official Contest Rules

Foxquilt (Sponsor) is holding the Foxquilt Community Cup contest to recognize our business clients for their work in supporting the community and for innovation efforts. Winners will be selected by popular vote, and each winner will receive a prize.

 

1. Nominees
  1. Foxquilt’s Sales Team has nominated 5 clients to compete for the Community Award and 4 clients to compete for the Innovation Award
  2. Nominees were selected by Foxquilt employees based on the nominees’ outstanding community work or innovation efforts during 2020
  3. Nominees can share the following voting link, https://www.foxquilt.com/blog/vote-2020, with their family and friends
  4. Nominees who do not want to participate in this Contest, or are unwilling or unable to abide by the Rules, can withdraw by contacting the Foxquilt employee who originally approached them with their nomination

2. Contest Period
  1. The Contest runs from Thursday, December 10, 2020, to Friday, January 8, 2021
  2. Voting will open at 12:00 a.m. ET on December 10, 2020, and will close at 12:00 a.m. ET on January 8, 2021

 

3. Voting

  1. Voting takes place through the WuFoo polling form by following the voting link on Foxquilt’s website (https://www.foxquilt.com/blog/vote-2020)
  2. Each person can vote only once during the Contest
  3. Votes can be cast by following this link https://www.foxquilt.com/blog/vote-2020
  4. Once in the polling forum, voters are required to do the following to cast their vote:
    1. enter their full name
    2. enter their email address
    3. enter the name of the nominee they are voting for in each category
    4. indicate whether or not Foxquilt can enroll them in Foxquilt’s mailing list
    5. pass the captcha test
    6. submit the form

e. Foxquilt employees are not eligible to vote in this Contest

f. If the Sponsor notices evidence of cheating (e.g. use of bots, third party voting services or payment for votes, or other types of voting fraud), it has sole discretion to invalidate votes during or at the end of the voting period. If necessary, the Sponsor will determine the winner in each category based on non-suspect votes

 

4. Prizes

There are two prizes up for grabs:

  1. Foxquilt Community Award: $1000.00
  2. Foxquilt Innovation Award: $500.00
  1. Winners will be contacted by the Sponsor with instructions on how to claim their prize 
  2. Prizes must be accepted as awarded
  3. The Sponsor does not assume any responsibility or liability for lost, damaged, or misdirected prizes

5. Winner Selection

Following the end of the applicable contest period:

  1. The Community Award prize will be awarded to the nominee with the most votes in the community category
  2. The Innovation Award prize will be awarded to the nominee with the most votes in the innovation category
  3. In the event of a tie, the tied nominees' names will be submitted into a random name selector tool, https://commentpicker.com/random-name-picker.php, to determine the winner. The business the random name selector tool chooses will be declared the winner and will receive the award and the respective prize

 

6. Indemnification by Participant

Participants (nominees and voters) in this Contest, by their participation, indemnify and hold the Sponsor harmless from any liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the participants or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, participation in the Contest, any breach of the Contest Rules, or in any prize-related activity. Each participant further agrees to fully indemnify the Sponsor from any claims made by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.

 

7. Limitation of Liability

The Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, unintelligible/illegible, falsified, damaged, misdirected or incomplete votes, notifications, responses, replies, or for any computer, online, software, telephone, hardware or technical malfunctions that may occur, including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of a vote. The Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized for the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond the control of the Sponsor, such as infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or corruption of the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest and/or the contest website.

 

8. General Terms and Conditions

The laws of Canada govern this Contest. All federal and local laws and regulations apply. All taxes, fees, and surcharges on prizes, if any, are the recipient's sole responsibility.

 

By participating in this Contest, each participant agrees to be bound by the Rules. Participants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Decisions on winners are final. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any nominee found to be: (a) violating the Rules; (b) tampering or attempting to tamper with the voting process or the operation of the Contest, the contest website, or any related promotional website; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions of use and/or general rules or guidelines of any of the Sponsor’s property or services; and/or (d) acting in an unsportspersonlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, entity or group.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE CONTEST WEBSITE OR ANY RELATED WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

 

9. Termination

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate any contest, in whole or in part, and/or modify, amend or suspend a contest, and/or the Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.
